User Profile
Introduction
Section titled “Introduction”The User Profile is where you manage your personal account in IONFLOW. From here you can update your personal information, change language and theme preferences, manage your account security, and configure notifications.
Who This Section Is For
Section titled “Who This Section Is For”- All users: Who need to manage their account and preferences
- Administrators: Who manage team roles and permissions
Accessing Your Profile
Section titled “Accessing Your Profile”- Click your avatar or name in the top right corner
- Select Profile or My Account from the dropdown menu
- Your profile settings page will open
Personal Information
Section titled “Personal Information”You can edit the following personal data:
- Full name — How you appear on the platform
- Email address — Used for login and notifications
- Avatar — Profile picture (optional)
To save changes, click Save at the bottom of the form.
Language and Theme Preferences
Section titled “Language and Theme Preferences”Language
Section titled “Language”IONFLOW is available in multiple languages. Change the interface language from:
- Profile → Language → Select your preferred language
Customize the visual appearance:
- Light: White background, ideal for well-lit environments
- Dark: Dark background, reduces eye strain in low-light environments
Account Security
Section titled “Account Security”Changing Your Password
Section titled “Changing Your Password”- Go to Profile → Security
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters, uppercase, numbers)
- Confirm the new password
- Click Save
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Section titled “Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)”📋 Two-factor authentication is planned for future versions of IONFLOW. When available, you’ll be able to add an extra layer of security to your account.
Active Sessions
Section titled “Active Sessions”You can view and manage your active sessions:
- Device and browser for each session
- Last activity recorded
- Remote logout from specific devices
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Configure which notifications you receive and how:
- Email: Receive alerts by email when there are errors in your boards, expired connections, or important updates
- In-platform: Notifications within IONFLOW visible via the bell icon
Roles and Permissions
Section titled “Roles and Permissions”Your access level depends on the role assigned by your administrator:

| Administrator | Full system access | IT admins managing the IONFLOW instance |
| Tenant User | Company workspace access | Business users creating and managing boards |
| Viewer (Planned) | Read-only access | Stakeholders monitoring automation results |
Note: You cannot change your own role. Contact your administrator if you need different permissions.
Common Errors
Section titled “Common Errors”| Error | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| ”Can’t change password” | Current password incorrect | Verify your current password. If forgotten, use “Forgot Password” on the login screen |
| ”Notifications not arriving” | Email configured incorrectly or spam filters | Verify your email address in profile settings. Check spam folder |
| ”Can’t access a feature” | Your role doesn’t have sufficient permissions | Contact your administrator to request additional permissions |
